BIO
Born in Kingston, Ontario, 1993
2012-2018 Studied at the University of Toronto
Hi my name is Kae.
I'm a twenty-six year old queer photographer, currently located in Kingston, Ontario. But I have been lucky enough to spend my last decade floating between Kingston, Scarborough, Pickering, Toronto and Gananoque.
My mom was the first person to introduce me to a camera--she’s an amateur photographer herself-- and when I showed an interest she bought me a cheap little point and shoot and told me to have fun. I started taking photos really casually around age ten, but around fourteen started to take photography more seriously and eagerly jumped into film photography courses in high school. Now I have a Honours BA from the University of Toronto in Theatre and Performance Studies and Studio Art, where I largely focused on photography, video and digital media.
In the past few years my style has really developed and I have found that I really enjoy portraits/staged photography on any type, but ever since I first started I have always had a love for storms and landscape photography.
In the future I would like to work on taking nude and boudoir portraits. I worked on an installation from January to April of 2018 where I got to empower myself through the use of nude photography and I find it really empowering to help others find what makes them comfortable in their skin too.
